 Frank Chandler has been studying Taijiquan since 1986. He studies qigong, long forms, two person and weapons. Chen and Wu (Hao) long forms, Yang San Shou, Push-hands, and Old Style Yang Sword have been his central focus. His major studies have been in the Magic Tortoise Taijiquan School, under the training of Dr. Jay Dunbar, Kathleen Cusick, and Almanzo (Lao Ma) Lamoureux. He has also attended numerous weekend workshops on Taijiquan, Baguazhang, Qigong and related topics. Frank participates, as a senior student, in the Magic Tortoise Teacher Training Program, and has been an Instructor with the school since 1998. Mr. Chandler competed in, and more recently officiated, the Taijiquan division of the Carolina Association of Chinese Martial Artist (CACMA) Tournaments. A talented artist and graphic designer, he is responsible for the Magic Tortoise School's tortoise logo, prominent on our shirts, and also for the layout of the Jou Medallion. |
