I was born in Nanjing, China and grew up in Taiwan. I attended The National Taiwan University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages and Literature. In 1963 I came to the United States to pursue a Master’s degree in English Education from the University of Iowa in Iowa city. In 1974 I started my Tai Chi training with Master Chen in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. In 1985 I continued my Tai Chi training with Madame Xiongying in Greenville, South Carolina. In 1998 I launched my Tai Chi teaching at Rolling Green Retirement Village. I taught there for 17 years until I moved to Cary, NC in June 2015. In 2007 I expanded my teaching to Oak Leaf Village, a retirement living center in Greenville, SC. I taught there for 8 years until moving to Cary. In 2009 I introduced Tai Chi to the Eastside branch of the YMCA in Greenville, SC where I taught for 6 years until moving to Cary. I now (2016) teach for Amberley and Carolina Preserve in Cary, and at the UNC Wellness Center in NW Cary.
